One of my favorite scriptures is in this reading, chapter 19 verse 23, "And I did read many things unto them which were written in the books of Moses; but that I might more fully persuade them to believe in the Lord their Redeemer I did read unto them that which was written by the prophet Isaiah; for I did liken all scriptures unto us, that it might be for our profit and learning."
I like this scripture because of it's truth and if we believe in it, and apply what we read daily, the world would be a much happier place. It also goes on say that when we read from the scriptures it gives us hope in our lives.
I also like when Nephi says in chapter 22, ..."for by the spirit are all things made known unto the prophets, which shall come upon the children of men according to the flesh." The spirit is the great teacher and the way we learn anything. If we are keeping the commandments and striving to do what's right, we know that we will have the spirit and will be safe and full of peace. This is the general thought I got from this reading.
